Yingo ("the app", "we", "us") is a Mandarin pronunciation trainer operated by {{DEVELOPER}}. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices. We collect as little as possible.

What we collect

• Anonymous account ID. On first launch we create a random identifier (a UUID) so your learning progress can be saved and synced. It is not linked to your name, email, phone number, or Apple ID.
• Learning data. Which exercises you practice, your answers, review timing, and spaced-repetition scheduling — used to plan your daily training.
• App settings. Your chosen difficulty, daily-goal, reminder time, and audio preferences.
• Purchase entitlement. If you buy Yingo Pro, we store the Apple transaction identifier and product ID to unlock your purchase across reinstalls. Payment itself is handled entirely by Apple — we never receive or store your card or payment details.

Microphone

Yingo asks for microphone access only so the pronunciation exercises can score your tones. Your voice is analyzed on your device in real time and is never recorded, saved, or sent anywhere. No audio leaves your phone.

What we do NOT do

• No advertising, no ad identifiers, no cross-app or cross-site tracking.
• No third-party analytics or marketing trackers.
• No selling or renting of your data to anyone.

How your data is used

We use the data above only to run the app: save and sync your progress, schedule reviews, apply your settings, and unlock purchases. Learning data and your anonymous ID are stored on our own backend to enable sync; settings and a cache are also stored locally on your device so the app works offline.

Data sharing

We share data only with Apple, and only to process purchases and verify receipts. We do not share your data with any other third parties.

Your choices and rights

• Reset / delete: In Me → Reset anonymous account, you can clear your local data and disconnect your anonymous ID. To request deletion of any server-side data associated with your anonymous ID, email us at {{CONTACT_EMAIL}}.
• Reminders & microphone: You can turn off the daily reminder in-app at any time, and revoke microphone or notification permission in iOS Settings.

Children

Yingo is a general-audience app and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes

We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with a new effective date.
